My one assignment for The Woolpack was to taste Pickled Eggs.

I had never had them on any of my several trips to England, but then in one episode of Emmerdale Zak Dingle ordered "pickled eggs" and it was rather hard at trying to translate it into Finnish, especially not knowing what they are. I did find out eventually.

I didn't get to taste them even now, as the jar they had could not be opened as there was a competition coming on of who would eat the most pickled eggs...

But I did get a picture, and on a later trip got to taste them and they don't taste bad at all.
